Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the collective heart
of the united quantum blasts of the Cosmos;
knowing as I know I shall never know
what makes our complicated singularity
reverberate, still shall I trust that I am

in its muscle and its blood essentially a part
of its orgasmic consummation, without one
tiny wisp or push of which or whom the thing
would not collude with me to take up room
and live. I pledge allegiance to the notion

that we all reflexively conspire to give
each other every pleasure and intoxication
of existence, unfathomably powerful in our
persistence to be heard and seen, and see
and hear. I hereby notify all my constituents

that I and we and they have only this to fear:
our tendency, instead of tolerating awe, to see
abyss. I pledge herein to plant on every lip
and cheek and butt and sweet scintilla
of the Cosmos' genitalia my erotic kiss.
