A Celebration of Poetry:
Desert Moon in the City of Brotherly Love, Fall 2005

On Saturday, October 29, 2005, eight poets who had only previously known each other in cyberspace came together in a celebration of poetry at Robin’s Bookstore at 108 S. 13th Street, Philadelphia. The poets were Laurie Byro, James D. Corner, Al Ferber, Mitchell Geller, Christopher T. George, Guy Kettelhack, Sarah Sloat, and S. Thomas Summers.

The following poems describe the inaugural event of what we hope will be the first of a series of meaningful poetry gatherings sponsored by Desert Moon Review.

We are pleased to say that another DMR weekend is planned for this spring, with a reading at 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 8 at Bentley's House of Coffee and Tea, 1730 Speedway Boulevard, Tucson, Arizona (tel. 1 520 795 0338).
